Wageningen Business School (WBS) is an independent part of Wageningen University and Research Centre (Wageningen UR).
The school’s history spans more than 30 years. The PHLO (Postacademisch en Hoger Landbouwonderwijs) Foundation was established in 1971 and merged in 2003 with Wageningen School of Management (WSM) to create the Wageningen Business School.
WBS now trains more than 1000 professionals each year, through approximately 30 open-admission programmes and 25 projects and in-company programmes.
WBS also stimulates knowledge management and entrepreneurship – in 2006 by means of ten Business Cafés, five Wereld Lezingen (global lectures) and four Business Challenges.
